Trustee Fong called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m.

REPORTS
District Strategic Plan Update
A document entitled “Los Angeles Community College District, District Strategic
Plan Update” was distributed.
Dr. Ryan M. Cornner, Vice Chancellor, Educational Programs and Institutional
Effectiveness, gave an overview of the District Strategic Plan Update
presentation.
He deferred to Mr. Maury Pearl, Associate Vice Chancellor,
Educational Services and Institutional Effectiveness Division.
Mr. Pearl discussed the document with respect to the Los Angeles Community
College (LACCD) Strategic Plan purpose and the timeline of events from the first
introduction in 2004 through 2017.
A question and answer session was conducted regarding various components
with respect to the LACCD Strategic Plan presentation.
With respect to Goal #4: Resources and Collaboration, Trustee Fong expressed
his concern that individual colleges do not share business and community
partnerships Districtwide. He requested that in the planning process the colleges
do a better of job sharing information Districtwide.
Accreditation Update
A document entitled “Educational Programs and Institutional Effectiveness (EPIE)
Accreditation Update” was distributed.
Dr. Cornner discussed the document with respect to various events that have
occurred and are ongoing in preparation for the Accreditation Team visits to all
nine colleges and the Educational Services Center (ESC). He continued to discuss
the visit timeline and visit conclusion.
A question and answer session was conducted with respect to the presentation.
