NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
2016 INFORMAL BIDDING CONTRACTOR LIST
The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) has adopted the Uniform Public
Construction Cost Accounting Act under Public Contract Code §22000 et seq. In
accordance with the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting
Commission, LACCD is inviting all interested licensed contractors to submit an
application to be included on LACCD’s 2016 Informal Bidding Contractor List of
qualified contractors. LACCD will maintain a list of qualified contractors according to
the trade categories of work that they perform. Qualified contractors would be solicited
on each informal bid between $45,000 and $175,000 (LACCD reserves the right to
formally bid a project under $175,000). Contractors that are interested in being on the
2016 Informal Bidding Contractor List of qualified contractors are required to have a
current contractor license for their designated classification(s) and are subject to
verification from the Contractor State License Board (CSLB). Bid bonds, performance
bonds, and payment bonds would continue to be required of all contractors doing work
under these provisions.
SB 854 was signed into law on June 20, 2014. LACCD requires all contractors who
submit a 2016 Informal Bidding Contractor List application to be registered with the
Department of Industrial Relations.
If interested in being placed on the LACCD’s 2016 Informal Bidding Contractor List for
public works projects between $45,000 and $175,000, please complete the LACCD
application. We will be reviewing and approving Pre-Qualification application forms
throughout the year. The first review date for submission of completed applications is
January 15, 2016, 2:00 p.m. The application can be accessed on the LACCD Facilities
Planning & Development webpage:
