PTA ADMISSIONS CRITERIA
POINT SYSTEM
The admission point system uses a cumulative approach to the selection of the top 20
applicants. All eligible applicants are ranked (based on criteria A-D) prior to the
interview and the top 40 are given the opportunity to interview. Applicant rankings are
realigned with the addition of criterion E. MAXIMUM POINTS TOWARD ADMISSION ARE 42.
A. GPA -Cumulative point range 1-15/ maximum points 15/42 (based on best grade achieved if
course retaken)

2.60-2.699
2.70-2.799
2.80-2.899
2.90-2.999

Cumulative point range 0-6/max points 6/42
The supervising PT or PTA assigns the raw points & recommendation score during the observation or
work experience (Grid score + Recommended score = Performance evaluation score)
