Austin, MN
1979 - The Chandler Company was acquired
with operations in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City,

1988 - Plumb Supply expanded its western
presence in Iowa with the opening of our
Red Oak branch
1991 - A branch was opened in Northwest
Iowa in Spirit Lake
1993 - The ninth Plumb Supply location
opened for business in Waterloo, IA.
1994 - An Eastern Iowa branch opened

Since 1946, Plumb Supply Company has
established a rich tradition of honesty, integrity,
and trust in our Iowa communities. The company
was started in downtown Des Moines in a small
building, five employees, and one truck. The
company quickly grew beyond it’s small building
and expanded to more locations throughout Iowa.
The backbone of our tradition is based on the

addition, our Des Moines location
showcased a first for plumbing, heating, and
air conditioning wholesalers - a customer
