Users & Groups: Enrolling Users

The steps below describe how to enroll a user in your course.

1.

Log into the Blackboard 9.1 course with your UNC-W credentials at https://learn.uncw.edu

2.

In the Control Panel, click on Users and Groups , then select “ Users ” COJRSE MANAGEMEtlT

Find Users to Enroll 3.

Click Find Users to Enroll

4.

Enter the username or click Browse to search for individuals by username, first name, last name, or UNCW e-mail address.

5.

Select the desired role of the user and Click Submit to enroll user.

Summary of Roles:

Student - has access to all course content but cannot modify content. This is the only role able to take assessments and have grades recorded in the grade book.

Instructor - has access to all course functions. This includes adding and modifying content,

controlling user and group functions, creating assessments and entering grades, and controlling discussion boards and virtual classroom functions.

Teacher Assistant - shares the same level of access as the Instructor, but is unable to copy a course.

• Course Builder - has access to all features except

Grade Center

• Grader - has access to the grade book and is able to create and modify assessments.

Guest - has access to course materials ( must grant access in each content area) , but no access to the Communication or Assessment areas.
