Creating Mobile Compatible Tests Blackboard offers the option of creating mobile phone compatible tests, which can be taken on any phone connected to the internet. These tests can still be taken on a computer. •
To begin, navigate to the content area you wish to place the test. You cannot make the test in the “Tests, Surveys, and Pools” area. •
Click on Assessments and then Mobile Compatible Test. •

On the pop-­‐up window, adjust the Test Settings. Create a Title and a Description and add instructions if you wish. Office of e-­‐Learning: Academic Affairs •
You can change the Availability and set the Dates the test is available. •
Set the Number of Attempts, the Default Question Value, and set an optional password and due date. Office of e-­‐Learning: Academic Affairs There are 7 different question styles: • Calculated Numeric – students enter in a numeric value to the question. A +/-­‐ range can also be set. • File Response – Students will either have to take a picture or upload a picture of what the statement (cool tool for picture scavenger hunts). • Fill in Multiple Blanks – Write in a question/ statement. Highlight selected words that you wish students to fill in and click the button “Make blank from selected text.” • Hot Spot – Enter in a question dealing with a photo you upload. Click upload and create a box around the part of the image that students must select to answer the question correctly. • Multiple Choice – Enter in a question and choices; fill in the circle for the right choice. • Short Answer – Write a question for students to answer.
