nutrition.
VII.InstructionalMethodsandActivities
Instructionalmethodsmayinclude:traditionallectures,internet-basedlectureswithin-classdiscussion,distance
learning,in-classdiscussionofpatientcases,smallgroupdiscussion,problem-basedlearning,case-basedlearning,useof
SimMan,demonstrationofvariousselfcareaccessoriesand/orPAtechnique,andindividualprojects.CaseStudiesmay
beanapplicationofprinciplesofphysicalassessment,selfcare,andaccessories.Quizzesmayalsobeadministered.

Undergraduatemid-termgradeswillbepostedon-lineforstudentstoviewviaBanner.Mid-termgradesindicatea
student’sstatusatmid-semesteronlyanddonotindicatethefinalperformanceoutcomeofastudent.
EarlyInterventionPolicy
Studentsscoring<70%onanyexamandanoverallexamaverage<70%(excludesquizzes,assignments,bonus,etc.)will
berequiredtosubmittothecoordinatorwritten,narrativeresponsestoselectlectureobjectivesthatwillbeprovided
within24hoursofthepostingoftheirexamgradetoMoodle.TheseobjectiveswillbeintheformofaMoodle
assignmentandrepresentunit-orlecture-levelobjectivestobetesteduponinthenextscheduledcourseexam.
Writtenresponsesmustbesubmittednolaterthanonecalendarweekbeforethenextscheduledexam.Responses
mustbewrittenincompletesentencesandmaynotbecopiedorpastedfromanysource,includingclassnotes,
treatmentguidelines,textbooks,oranyinternetsite.Submissionsfoundtocontainresponsesthathavenotbeen
writteninastudent’sownwordswillbeconsideredafailuretosubmit.
Inaddition,studentswillberequiredtorevieweachfailedexam’sExamSoft-generatedmisseditemreportwiththe
instructorresponsibleforeachsectionofmaterial.Thediscussionshouldincludethestudent’sreasoningforthe
incorrectansweraswellasthereasonforthecorrectanswer.
Failuretosubmitthisrequiredassignmentwillresultinineligibilitytoremediate.

AttendancePolicy:
Classattendanceisrequired.Classattendanceisregardedasanobligationaswellasaprivilege,andstudentsare
expectedtoknowattendanceregulationsandtoattendregularlyandpunctuallyatclassesinwhichtheyareenrolled.
Failuretodoso:(1)maypreventaccesstotheclassroomduringregularlyscheduledtimes;(2)mayjeopardizea

Make-upPolicy:
