· Director of the Building a Better Wilmington Campaign, whose mission is to increase the visibility, effectiveness
and sustainability of nonprofit organizations in Southeastern North Carolina by promoting quality volunteer

· Met numerous times with Members of Congress on Capitol Hill and in-district acquiring increased funding for

· Participated in the 2011 ONE Mom’s trip to Kenya--showcased as ABC World News ‘Persons of the Week’,
appeared for numerous television interviews, and participated in a round table discussion with Dr. Jill Biden,
USAID Administration Raj Shah, and National Security Advisor Gayle Smith.
· Planned, coordinated, and executed numerous community events on the art of grassroots lobbying.
· Drafted special immigration cases, including I-601A waiver cases, National Interest Waiver cases, and special
projects for legal staff.
· Assisted with the AILA National Day of Action, to push for immigration reform in Washington, D.C.
· Provided after hours telephone triage nursing for a busy group of 10 pediatricians.
· Taught and developed new syllabi for geriatrics and nutrition courses at Ebbert Education Center for continuing
adult education.
