*Class may meet at an alternate time and day if the speaker is not available during the scheduled
times.
** At the discretion of the Course Director and faculty lecturers, additional sessions may be
scheduled.
Class sessions will be a combination of lectures and discussion of board questions and case
scenarios. In order for the class to be beneficial, it is critical that students be prepared and
contribute to the class.
Attendance as well as preparation is critical to success on the National Board. An attendance
grade (10%) will be factored into the final grade. Each absence lowers the final grade one point.
Promptness is important so that the material scheduled for the day can be covered. Two tardies
will result in the deduction for one absence.
Quizzes and Examinations
A quiz will be assigned/given before/at each session.
A pilot National Board Examination and a previous National Board Examination will be given.
The National Board Examination Score will be used as Final Exam Score. If the National Board
Examination Scores are not received in time, the Mock Board will count twice.
