Your Writing Assignment WCVM Writing Tools Workshop for Research Summer Students Thursday, June 13, 2013 Your Writing Assignment ✤ Your assignment: Produce a 600- to 700-word article about your research project. ✤ Interview: Article must include input from at least one interviewee. For example, your mentor or other member of research team. ✤ Viewpoint: Can begin story in first person (your perspective) and then switch to third person (your interviewee). Your stories may be repurposed/reprinted by other web sites/publications. ✤ Submit your draft article to me (myrna.macdonald@usask.ca) before or by Friday, July 19. ✤ Editing: Story draft will be edited (mainly for style, grammar, punctuation). The file (including tracked changes) will be returned to you for review. ✤ Review: Edited story draft will be sent to your interviewee for final review/revisions.
