The PA389 Master of Theological Studies Capstone (1 credit hour) is added to the MTS curriculum and 1
credit hour of elective be subtracted. Mandatory for students beginning study after July 1, 2012, and
optional for students who began study before July 1, 2012.
October 10, 2012
MTS students who do not intend to move to Saskatoon complete the Core Group & Committee work
requirements as follows:
1. Set up a circle of support within their congregation/community. This is to be made up of 3-4
people who will commit to meeting with the student for a total of 15 hours over 1-2 years, to talk
about what the student is learning, what they are experiencing as a student, and how they might
need support and care.
2. Volunteer to work on a congregational committee for a period of at least 1 year. Committees
such as Outreach, Education, Mission or Fellowship are good choices as they mirror the College
committees. OR
Volunteer and be elected to serve as a student representative on the Board or Academic
Committee of St. Andrew’s College for 1 year.
3. At the end of the mandated time of the circle of support and the congregational committee
service, St. Andrew’s College must receive a letter that details the work done, signed by an
appropriate member of the congregation/community. This letter should be sent to the registrar.

1. Inclusive Language workshop will be held during Entry Colloquium.
2. Non-resident students must complete a professional ethics/boundaries workshop elsewhere (and
submit a certificate of completion).
July 2013
Students must register for the PBCR (Program Based Credit Requirements) course within the first year of
registering for courses. Tuition for this course is equivalent to 2 credit units.
