Also required is a passing score on the departmental FRH oral proficiency exam. Teacher Licensure: Admission to the Watson School of Education is required for enrolment in EDN 300- and 400-level courses numbered higher than EDN 303. A grade of “C” or better is required in all professional education courses. Students may repeat courses in which they earned lower than “C” only with permission of the dean of the WSE. A cumulative GPA of 2.70 is required for eligibility for the practicum semester. Students planning to pursue licensure should apply to the Watson School of Education as soon as admissions requirements are met (typically in the sophomore year), and plan their programs in regular consultation with their advisors.
