DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
Course requirements for all UNCW degrees include: (1) University Studies, (2) specific major requirements, and (3)
sufficient elective hours for a combined total of a minimum of 124 hours.

NOTE: To satisfy the Applied Learning Requirement, a student must complete 6 credit hours of study abroad (at the
intermediate level or above) or 3 credit hours of internship, directed individual study, practicum, honors, or service
learning.
A “C-” or better grade is required in each course counted toward the major and a grade point average of 2.00 or better for
all courses counted towards the major. Also required is a passing score on the departmental French oral proficiency exam.
