$20K for stipend and tuition o $4K tuition scholarship (all out of state students get tuition remission to in-state rates) o Competitive Awards for Summer Student Support (Match Grant
Funds) o $1,500 each for Grad Students whose advisors are in-between grant support
Discussion: Seek external funding support (UNCW Capital
Campaign/Advancement) to get students “out of McDonalds and into the lab”. o Joan is choosing committee to develop proposal for use of CMS student support funds.
