COURSE DESCRIPTION
This full-day course will concentrate on solving
simple to complex restorative issues is facilitated by a
consistent approach to planning treatment. The use of
a facially generated treatment planning approach will
be presented and illustrated with patient treatment. Participants will gain an understanding of the
importance of tooth position in developing a
predictable plan for solving simple to complex dental
problems by having case discussions of
different patients.

DR. DEREK HOPKINS
Dr. Derek Hopkins is a Prosthodontist, practicing in Victoria, BC.
Dr. Hopkins completed his dental studies at the University of
Saskatchewan in 1992. He then entered into the general practice
in Rosethern, Saskatchewan. Following 3 years of general practice
he commenced a prosthodontic residency at the University of
Texas Health Science Center at Sn Antonio. He then completed his certificate in
Prosthodontics and a Master of Science in 1998. Following graduate studies, he reentered into the private practice in Victoria, BC. He is a fellow of the Royal College
of Dentists of Canada and a Registered Lab Technician. Dr. Hopkins currently
practices with his brother Dr. Mark Hopkins who is also a Prosthodontist.
Dr. Hopkins is married with Lisa and have 3 children.
DR. MARK HOPKINS
Dr. Mark Hopkins has completed his advanced certificate in
Sciences, an honors degree, and dental studies from the University
of Saskatchewan. Following a period of service with the Canadian
Forces Dental Services throughout Canada and abroad, Dr. Hopkins
completed his prosthodontics education at the University of
Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis Tennessee.
Dr. Mark Hopkins is a referral based clinical dentist with an emphasis on
comprehensive management of patients with diverse treatment needs ranging
widely from edentulism to high esthetic expectations. His dental practice has
an adjoining laboratory with broad scope of digital and analog prosthetic
options including precision CE based implant surgical guides to metal ceramics,
pressed ceramics, and zirconia.
Dr. Hopkins has served as a Director of the Victoria and District Dental Society,
mentors study clubs, and has provided humanitarian dental treatment in Haiti,
Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and El Salvador. Dr. Hopkins has two children and
happily resides near Victoria, BC.
