The Green Circle Trail The Green Circle is a 26-­‐mile scenic hiking/biking trail that loops through the Stevens Point area and connects with over 20 miles of additional trails. It winds through forests and parks, over wetlands, and along rivers, recalling the days of huge pineries, pioneer settlements, and the lore of the WI and Plover Rivers. UWSP – Planetarium The planetarium is located on the second floor of the Science Building directly above the east main entrance. The planetarium presents public programs through the academic year and during most summers. There is no charge for our public programs. UWSP-­‐ Schmeeckle Reserve Schmeeckle Reserve is a 280-­‐acre natural area on the UWSP Campus. The Reserve is managed to protect and restore native ecological communities of central Wisconsin. It is open to the public and serves as a unique gathering place for the community and university. Point Brewery The Stevens Point Brewery is steeped in a history that has transcended the trials of the Civil War, the Great Depression and Prohibition. More than 150 years later, the Stevens Point Brewery continues to successfully brew quality beer, just as the brewery’s founders, Frank Wahle and George Ruder, did in 1857. This undeniable endurance is a testament of why the Stevens Point Brewery, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, is the 5th oldest continuously operating brewery remaining in the United States. Today, the Stevens Point Brewery is proud to be Wisconsin-­‐owned and independently operated. Tours are available to come and indulge in the history yourself!
