Student Agreement
All students submitting a thesis will grant the following permissions to Winthrop
University.

I, the author and copyright owner grant in perpetuity, without restriction and royalty free,
to Winthrop University the non-exclusive right and license to reproduce, distribute,
perform, and/or display my submission (including the abstract and any supplementary
materials) in whole or in part, in any format or medium now known or developed in the
future. Such permission will be utilized for the sole purpose of preserving and providing
free, open access to my work. I further agree that Winthrop University will utilize
evolving current best practices to ensure preservation and/or distribution.
To the extent this thesis is an educational record as defined in the Family Educational
Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), I consent to disclosure of it to anyone who requests a
copy.
I hereby state that I retain full copyright and ownership rights to my submission and
have the right to exercise all rights under copyright in the work not granted herein,
including publishing my work in any format or medium.
If the submission contains material for which I do not hold copyright, I have obtained the
unrestricted permission of the copyright owner to grant Winthrop University the rights
required by this license, and that such third-party owned material is clearly identified
and acknowledged within the text or content of the submission. In the event of a
subsequent dispute over the copyrights to material contained in the submission, I agree
to indemnify and hold harmless Winthrop University and its employees or agents for any

The Winthrop University Library reserves the right to add or edit metadata for the
purpose of access, clarification and/or preservation.
I understand and agree that this license agreement shall become effective on the date
