Policy: 6.3 (Page 10) http://www.usask.ca/education/fieldexperiences/schedules/FieldExperiences-Policies.pdf What you can do until placement: - Start researching locations outside of Saskatoon and area for your placement choices - When applying for summer jobs, ensure your end date is before August 20th. - Bookmark online resources and collect teacher resources. - regularly update your PGP (eportfolio) - check your PAWS email regularly. - ensure of health care plan for internship- ihaveaplan.ca Other: - You cannot solicit your own placement. - Once you receive placement letter, contact teacher immediately to meet. - CRC with vulnerable sector check. A new one dated within 6 months of school start date must be forwarded to Field Experiences prior to orientation so it does not disrupt your start date. Check with your local RCMP or municipal police for cost and process time. Accommodation plan - Are you registered with DSS? • If so, contact Field Experience Coordinator (Melanie) or Field Experience Officer (Kathy Pryor-Hildebrandt) to make an accommodation plan for Field experiences. • This is separate and an extension from DSS accommodation plan. • Better accommodate students when in the schools.
