All classes must be scheduled within the standard class times listed above. Any exceptions must be approved by your respective Dean’s office. 2. 30% of classes in each department or program must be offered outside of “prime time” [shaded areas above]. Any exceptions must be approved by your respective Dean’s office. 3. Totally on‐line courses (that do not require any classroom space) can be included as part of the 30% tally for outside prime time. 4. The requirement that departments schedule 30% of courses outside of prime time does not include labs but refers only to regular courses. Labs are excluded because (1) labs are not usually set up for other departments to use either as labs or as classrooms and (2) most labs around campus are already running around the clock.
