Relevant Research Experience
Graduate Assistantship – Spring 2015. Worked in the Middle, Secondary, and Mathematics Education office at JMU
as a graduate assistant. Work included grading of student work, general office activities, and assisting professors with
their research and publications.
Teacher Work Sample – Fall 2014. Semester long action-research project that studied student growth for three key
learning goals over the course of an instructional unit in an Algebra 1 classroom. Included a whole-class analysis as
well as three case-study students with pre, formative, and summative assessments.
Research Assistance – 2013 & 2014. Work with Dr. Carbaugh assisting to find credible journal sources and making
several annotated bibliographies for varied research interests such as the flipped classroom or job growth predictions.
