What do you need to know about computers to start college? What can a computer do for you at home? This class is a hands-on basic computer operations course, covering: creating and managing files, sending and receiving emails, attaching files to emails, basic Internet searching, and attaching printers. Course fee includes enrollment in Computer Navigation class (required). WORD PROCESSING BASICS includes Computer Navigation course – $20 9:00am–noon; Fri, Feb 11 5 class meetings 10:30am–12:00pm; Mon & Wed; Feb 14, 16, 21, & 23 Need to produce documents at work? Need to type college papers? Need to format a resume? This course teaches basic word processing skills and the fundamentals of computer keyboarding by touch. Topics include text & page formatting, learning the keyboard, and building keyboarding accuracy and speed. The availability of home practice is strongly recommended. Course fee includes enrollment in Computer Navigation class (required). CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION PROVIDED FOR ALL COURSES QUICKBOOKS – $42 9:00am–noon; Mon, Jan 31 & Feb 7 2 class meetings A complete overview for setting up your business—chart of accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, memorizing reports/transactions. Taught on QB 2008 but content applies to earlier versions; instructor can speak on any version. EXCEL – $42 9:00am–noon; Wed, Feb 2 & 9 2 class meetings Explore the basics of spreadsheet functions.
