October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Several staff initiatives helped raise awareness and promote employee
health on campus. The mobile mammogram bus came to campus and screened dozens of employees.
In addition, on Thursday, Oct. 30, the campus and community involvement committee coordinated a campuswide
“PINK-OUT DAY” to raise awareness for breast cancer. Who wore it best?

matters of importance and concern to staff. The group offers opportunities for staff to support one another, participate as a group in community outreach and engagement, and make recommendations to the university’s president and the administration in support of staff needs
and the university’s mission.
