Additional Requirements:
1. Entering freshman can declare Family and Consumer Sciences as a major.
2. All FMCS students must achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.25 prior to registering for
any Family and Consumer Sciences courses, except FACS 101.
3. All FMCS students must select a specialization: Adolescent Studies; Consumer Studies; or Early Childhood
Studies
4. Students must meet all University requirements and earn a cumulative grade point average of 2.25 or greater in
order to graduate.
5. Complete a minimum of 40 hours of courses numbered above 299. In order to meet this University
requirement, students may have to take courses above 299 as their electives.
