Bill Rogers, John Olvera and Peggy Whiting. David Franklin and Sharon Johnson were also
present. Gloria Kelley and Pedro Munoz were absent. Student representatives from the College
of Education, Amelia Few was absent. The student representative from the College of Visual
and Performing Arts, Nathan Stewart was present.

Council voted to change the criteria for Graduate Faculty Membership as follows:
FROM:
Faculty position at Winthrop University must be tenure-track.
TO:
Faculty position must be tenure -track.
David Franklin, Acting Associate Vice President for Graduate Studies, gave a report on
activities related to graduate studies for the Fall 2000 semester.
