Title: Fine Arts Studio Lab Technician Major Responsibilities: Supervise woodshop and oversee physical functionality of all studio labs as well as monitors in woodshop, jewelry/metals, ceramics, sculpture, photo, printmaking, painting and computer labs. Maintain all health, safety and environmental functions, responsibilities and communications of Rutledge and McLaurin Fine Arts areas in collaboration with Winthrop Health and Safety Manager, Campus Police, and Housekeeping. Purchase and maintain supplies in studio and lab areas as well as repair and maintain equipment as needed and per maintenance schedules. Responsible for work orders and communications with facilities management. Work with department administrative assistant and discipline area heads in hiring and maintaining hours of all lab monitors. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; M.F.A preferred and two years related experience. Previous related experience in studio working environment, preferably in an institution of higher education, highly desired. The equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. Employment Conditions: A 10.5 month position; salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
