Be Distinct
At Winthrop University distinction is a commonality.
We appreciate the hard work and dedication that is
required to excel academically and value students
who have shown the initiative to chart a course of
student success.
Students completing an International Baccalaureate
program of study through the senior year of high
school are eligible to receive a scholarship valued at
$1,000. This is in addition to any merit scholarships
you might qualify for based on grades, SAT or ACT
scores, or other achievements. Out-of-state students
may qualify for out-of-state tuition waivers, too.
For more information on academic scholarships,
visit www.winthrop.edu/finaid/scholarships.
International students should contact their admissions
counselor for specific test requirements. Students
may receive up to 30 hours of course credit for scores
of 4 or above on higher level and selected standard
level examinations as described on the back.
