Kudos to…Latino Student Outreach Center
Coordinator Saraliz Jimenez, who received a
wonderful thank-you note from a Downers Grove
North High School student who visited campus as
part of Latino Student Visit Day, an event that
covered information about the College and was
kicked off by motivational speaker Carlos Ojeda Jr.
The student offered rave reviews for the personal
connection he felt as well as the expertise of the
speakers. “I felt as though the field trip was very
beneficial to me personally. It not only touched base
with me on a more academic level, but I felt a more
personal connection. All guest speakers and talents
helped me to embrace my culture and my ethnicity as
a Hispanic young man.”
More Kudos to…members of the College of DuPage
Testing Center who were selected to present at the National
College Testing Association (NCTA) Conference in Denver
this fall. The testing team of Sherry Machacek, Jarret Dyer
and Lori Lach will present “Evolution of a Testing Center,”
which will focus on how the COD Testing Center handled
changes imposed by technological advances and then went
on to develop innovative changes of their own to transform the
Testing Center into the successful multi-tasking operation that
it is today.
Even More Kudos to…Multimedia Services Manager
Dave Gorski who was featured in a recent issue of
Western Michigan University’s MyWMU online publication.
