Welcome to a new week! I am looking forward to meeting with you for parent teacher conferences! Please double-­‐check your time on the sign up link below, as I will be using this for my schedule for both evenings. If you have returned your Books & Breakfast paper and requested a book, we will be sending them home early this week. These are school copies, but your child can read them at home as long as they would like up to the B&B date. They should bring them the morning of the 29th to use while they talk to their friends about it. Please let me know if you have any questions and have a great week! Reading

This week, we will be talking about good habits that all readers do. We will be talking about these habits one by one and learn how to work on them. Writing

We will be o
looking at what makes a successful personal narrative by reading mentor texts that are great examples. Students will start to decide which story they will want to take through the writing process. Word Study
Students will o
continue to use their try it books for unfamiliar words. We will also be reviewing long vowels within the books that we are reading and determining patterns for these words. Math
We will be learning a new math game this week and will send it home in the Friday folder to add to their math folder at home to play and teach you. o

Related Arts
This week we will be coming back to matter and the properties of the solids, liquids, and gases around us. Students will be developing their interactive science notebooks this week as well. o
