Discussion Summory:
Expansion topic, Clark r
parking agreement for the
ad no comments on the Director's report. Concerning the Facility
lease for the westview facility with the Hamilton school District and the
facility among the city of Hamilton, the Hamilton school District, and the
College were ready for signatures. She said that the bidding process for the remodeling of the Westview facility
had closed on Friday, April 10. Western Interstate was awarded the project. The Western Interstate bid came in
just under $400,000, about $20,000 more than the UM had desired, however the bid was workable.
Clark said that
she had identified existing funds for furniture, so no fundraising would be needed for furnishings. She commented
that bringing in a concessionaire for food and beverages was being discussed with UM Dining Services. In terms of
being on schedule, Clark thought that an August L5 move date might be more realistic than an August L move
date.
Al Mitchell spoke regarding the parking agreement with the City of Hamilton. He mentioned that there
had been sonte issues but that overall the City was pleased to have the College relocating to the downtown area.
He said that tlre City planned to be proactive about identifying Residential Parking Areas around the College, just
as had been done around Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) and the Ravalli County Museum. Chair Dixie Stark
