Approval of minutes see on Direct Director'i i) Facility Discussion Summory: Expansion topic, Clark r parking agreement for the ad no comments on the Director's report. Concerning the Facility lease for the westview facility with the Hamilton school District and the facility among the city of Hamilton, the Hamilton school District, and the College were ready for signatures. She said that the bidding process for the remodeling of the Westview facility had closed on Friday, April 10. Western Interstate was awarded the project. The Western Interstate bid came in just under $400,000, about $20,000 more than the UM had desired, however the bid was workable. Clark said that she had identified existing funds for furniture, so no fundraising would be needed for furnishings. She commented that bringing in a concessionaire for food and beverages was being discussed with UM Dining Services. In terms of being on schedule, Clark thought that an August L5 move date might be more realistic than an August L move date. Al Mitchell spoke regarding the parking agreement with the City of Hamilton. He mentioned that there had been sonte issues but that overall the City was pleased to have the College relocating to the downtown area. He said that tlre City planned to be proactive about identifying Residential Parking Areas around the College, just as had been done around Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) and the Ravalli County Museum. All agreed with this proposal, and it was decided that Furniss would be identified on the plaque as a "Community Education Advocate." Berkhouse also mentioned that his office's media arts i available to do video for Johnson. Provost ed that ew planetarium had a very intimate feel and was housed in a space designed as a meeting pl in the new UM Native American Studies building. Provost Brown also promoted the new neuro at the UM and the new hospitality management certificate at Missoula College. Too, he spoke of a line offering with a flexible timeline for active-duty military personnel and other non-traditional students. Additionally, Provost Brown mentioned the opening of a trauma center atthe UM for veterans with brain injuries. He mentioned that the NFL had assisted in funding the center. Mitchell thanked the BC for all it does and thanked the UM for funding the BC's move downtown. Chair Stark noted that RML had purchased yellow bikes for employees to use for getting around town. She suggested that the Bitterroot College purchasepinkbikestoenablestudents,faculty,andstafftogetaroundtown.
