marketplace. We are currently seeking candidates for the following position to be based in Pittsburgh,
PA:
WORKSITE PREVENTIONIST
This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Preventive Health Services program delivery
at Highmark National and Regional group accounts including development, implementation, promotion,
and evaluation of well designed, effective worksite health promotion programs. The position is also
responsible for developing and managing relationships with key corporate leaders such as CEO’s,
CFO’s and VP’s of Human Resources and Benefits to support the development, implementation and
evaluation of worksite-based programs. The position ensures that all accounts are delivering effective
program models based on their commitment of resources and readiness to change their corporate
cultures to impact positive behavior change, health risk maintenance/reduction and ultimately positive
cost/benefit ratios through decreased medical claims costs and increased productivity satisfaction and
morale. The Worksite Preventionist is also responsible for monitoring and evaluating key marketing,
operational, and financial variables identified as critical to Program viability and success; in addition to
initiating timely and concise communications to senior management, including the Director of National
and Regional Preventive Health Services, related to worksite issues along with suggested
strategies/resolutions are of utmost importance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•
Bachelors degree in a clinical or health related field, health administration, health education,
health promotion or public health
•
One (1) to Three (3) years experience in worksite health promotion including program
planning, development, implementation, and evaluation
•
Five (5) years experience in a clinical, health care, health promotion, or health education field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•
Advanced clinical certification (e.g. C.H.E.S., RD, PT, ACSM exercise specialist)
•
Masters degree in a clinical practice, health promotion, or wellness field
•
Licenses or Certifications: Health Education Specialist
•
One (1) to Three (3) years experience in health insurance field working with health plans.
