Job Description:
WSDC Health Initiatives Internship:
Lighten Up Wisconsin: Assist in gathering and editing fitness and nutrition information for the LUW
website, managing website content, and researching and implementing a caloric database for the
website.
Marketing - implementing promotional/outreach campaigns, updating and building the marketing
database, identifying and attending events at which to promote Lighten Up Wisconsin and contacting
groups of individuals utilizing electronic mail and telecommunications.
Strategic Partnerships – soliciting small businesses for cash and in-kind donations.
Administration – assisting with participant event registration and customer service.
Interns are expected to contribute in all areas mentioned above.
Time Required:
Starting and ending dates are negotiable. Interns work 15 hours per week minimum.
All of our internships are unpaid positions, however, WSDC is committed to providing a valuable
experience, and interns have the opportunity to gain recommendations from professional staff upon
successful completion of the internship
Skills and Qualifications Needed:
REQUIREMENTS:
Organized and able to work through a project with little supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
