For the Cisco IP 7940, 7941, 7942 and 7961 phones, use the following steps:

To access the new Directory function on your Cisco IP phone, press the Directories on-screen mode
button.

Next, press the Scroll key to select/highlight the desired call history option or your Directory choice:
Missed Calls, Received Calls, Placed Calls, Paul D. Camp Directory or VCCS Corporate Directory. Do not
use the Personal Directory.
Once you have highlighted the directory you want to view, press the Select soft key. If you made the
incorrect selection, you can return to the previous screen by pressing the Exit soft key.

If you select the Paul D. Camp Directory,





Press the Scroll key to select the first name, last name, department or number to search for the
person you want to call.
To search on the person’s first name, make sure the First Name is highlighted.
Next use the dialing pad to enter a letter. For example, press the number 2 on the dialing pad
three times quickly to key a “C”. If you entered the incorrect letter, use the << soft key to
backspace before entering the correct letter.
You can enter the whole name or just one or more letters. Press the Submit soft key.
If you do not enter a first name, last name, department or number, and you press the Submit
soft key, the entire PDCCC directory will appear. You can scroll through the entire directory.
If you had entered just an “A” in the last name, all staff whose last name begins with “A” will appear on
the LCD display. Press the Scroll key to scroll through the numbers listed and highlight the name of the
person you wish to call. Press the Dial soft key to speed dial the person highlighted.

Another directory that is available is the VCCS Corporate Directory. PDCCC uses the VCCS Shared
Services Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone system. When you select this directory, you will see the 10 digit
telephone numbers of employees from the Systems Office (SO), Paul D. Camp (PDC), Germanna (GCC),
Rappahannock (RCC), Danville (DCC), Eastern Shore (ESCC), Southside Virginia (SSVCC) and Dabney S.
Lancaster (DSLCC) Community Colleges.
Perform the same steps as above and you will see a list that appears like this. Select the person that you
want to call and press the Dial soft key.

***On the Cisco IP 7912 phone, press the Menu button to select the directory.
The steps above should serve as a guide to using the directory.
On the 7912 phone, hit the Menu button and
select Directories
Press the Menu button and select Directories > Directory Services > Paul D. Camp or VCCS Corporate
Directory. Search for a listing by using your keypad to enter letters. (You can search using a partial
name.) Press Submit. To dial from a listing, scroll to it and go off-hook.
*** On the Cisco IP 7910 phone, the Directory function does not work. 
