Please explain/justify the new proposal or change. The current language for the Psychology major: General Emphasis requires four three-credit psychology course electives. While the vast majority of General Emphasis majors fulfill this requirement with upper division coursework it is possible, given the current language, to do so with lower division coursework. The proposed change solves this problem by requiring the four three-credit psychology course electives to be upper division courses.
