Adding SOCI 275S as an alternative required course in the Inequality and Social Justice option allows
broader access to this option. Both 220S and 275S will serve as entry points into the option, but since
220S is usually filled to capacity, adding 275S will allow students better access to an entry-level ISJ
course.
Adding SOCI 310 Extraordinary Group Behavior to the electives list is important because it is a social
movements course.
SOCI 442 Service Learning in ISJ was designed specifically for students in the ISJ option or students
with the requisite background.
