ASCRC committee,
We are submitting the following ASCRC changes from the Wildlife Biology program. In all cases, we are
only requesting to do basic course changes that primarily involve some housekeeping. Specifically, we
are requesting to (1) give WBIO 595 courses that have been taught several times and will continue to be
taught course numbers for the catalog, (2) alter titles and prerequisites to better reflect the course
content, description, and performance, and (3) delete courses from the catalog that are no longer being
offered.
Course Additions:
(1) WBIO 595 – WBIO 563 Advanced Topics in Habitat Ecology
(2) WBIO 595 – WBIO 568 Advanced Topics in Aquatic Ecology
(3) WBIO 595 – WBIO 564 Scientific Writing Publication
Course Title Changes:
(1) WBIO 560 Wildlife Landscape Ecology to WBIO 560 Landscape Conservation
(2) WBIO 441 Field Methods in Fishery Biology and Management to WBIO 441 Experiential learning
for Fish Biology and Management
Course prerequisite changes:
(1) WBIO 245 Science Writing prerequisite to include sophomore standing required
Course deletion:
(1) WBIO 475 Case Histories in Conservation Policy
