DRS program requests i.
AIM database

Approx. $18,000 dollars for a 3 year term agreement a.
Looking to spend $2,000-$5,000 from their unspent monies. b.
Committee would like to see a broad overview of the dollar amount spent from each area.

Students can schedule online

Instructors do not need to physically drop off tests etc.

More efficiency

Student has to physically hand paperwork to instructor etc.

Looked at 3 quotes a.
Is not the cheapest system, but it does a better job of integrating everything going on in DRS.

AIOC 2014-2015

1.
New System – OIE would take the philosophical ideas given by AIOC and come up with a proposal. AIOC would then review it and make some edits.
2.
Want inclusivity and bring about interaction between international students and UWL students.

Was there any input from international students on the current version? a.
Yes, there was. People struggled with the point requirements.
4.
Goal for OIE is to streamline requirements for both study abroad and internal students.

Committee does not want to micro manage the situation

AIS used to handle which students received determined by OIE
7.
Proposal would come back post-spring break, April 7 th most likely. ii.
Other areas to address
1.
Budget cutting exercises may force the committee to go over at the April 7 th meeting.
