PETITION FOR NOMINATION: Office of PRESIDENT/VICE PRESIDENT
Nomination papers for President and Vice-President are due by 4:00 p.m. on March 22, 2016
in the Student Life Office, 149 Graff Main Hall.
MANDATORY MEETING: ALL candidates for the offices of President and Vice President
must attend a meeting on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 6 p.m. in 339 Cartwright Center.
Candidates for President and Vice President may run together as a ticket, but it is not required. If
candidates elect to run as a ticket with a Presidential and Vice Presidential candidate, it will be
indicated on the ballot, but students will still vote on the positions independently. If you are not
running on a ticket, please only fill out applicable portions of the petition.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICERS OF THE UW-LSA
1. The President, Vice-President, at the time of their election or appointment, and
throughout their time in office, shall be at least half-time students, and must maintain a
cumulative G.P.A. of at least 2.0. (Article IV, Section 3, UWLSA Constitution)

Each candidate for an executive position must acquire the signatures of at least fifty (50)
students by petitioning for the individual’s name to appear on the ballot. (Election
Commission By-Laws 4.421(a))
