Who Can Participate? Summer Bridge program participants must first qualify and be accepted into TRiO SSS. As described by Federal guidelines, eligibility requirements are one or more of the following: First Generation Student Neither of your parents earned a four-year baccalaureate degree. Meet Federal Financial Guidelines Family income falls within the limits set by the U.S. Department of Education. Have a Documented Disability Any diagnosed impairment that affects the educational experience. Lourdes University TRiO Student Support Services TRiO is a federally funded program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education that identifies promising students and prepares them for college level work. TRiO specifically serves students who are first generation, low-income, and/or disabled. Studies have shown that students are more likely to achieve academic success when provided additional support services. Learn essential study skills: test taking strategies, time management, and stress reduction Summer Bridge is designed to help ease the transition for new students to all aspects of college life.
