AUTUMN 2016 PRIORITY COURSE REGISTRATION TIMETABLE FOR CONTINUING STUDENTS The following Priority Course Registration chart displays which date and time continuing students may register for courses for the upcoming term. Students may register during and after their scheduled day/time. Course Planning & Selection Period: Begins three weeks prior to the start of registration. Meet with your advisor in this timeframe to plan or review your schedule so you are prepared to register on your designated priority registration day. Undergraduates must obtain a new advising PIN from their advisor each Autumn & Spring term. Your advisor’s contact info is listed in your Academic Planner profile. Check Your Registration Status & Class Standing: > Log in to CyberBear. > Click the Student Services tab or link. > Click the Registration link. > Click the Check Your Registration Status link. > Select a term and click the Submit button. Your eligibility to register for classes, class status for registration purposes, and whether you have any holds that prevent registration are displayed. If you have a registration hold, click the View Holds link at the bottom of the page for further information. Your class standing for registration purposes is calculated by adding current credit hours in progress to your total earned credit hours. Total earned hours are listed at the bottom of your transcript. Dropped credits are not included. If you belong to more than one group, or your class standing precedes your group, you may register on the earliest day. If you do not belong to specific Registration Group (see above), you shall register based on class standing and last name. Example: a junior whose last name is Smith may begin registering at 8:00am Friday, April 15. Student athletes are required by the NCAA to meet full-time enrollment and progression standards, but are limited in when they can attend classes. Students using VA Educational Benefits must adhere to strict federal regulations for degree timeline completion. Priority registration assists these groups of students to fulfill their contracts, meet eligibility requirements, and adhere to regulations.
