Duration: Approximately October 7, 2013 to April 30, 2014
Job Description: 50 % -Establishment of timber sales within the Flambeau River State Forest. Mark complex
northern hardwood stands and other timber types. 30%Implementation of reconnaissance program to gather,
record, and update silvicultural prescription, habitat type, soils, and other applicable information. Develop longrange planning schedules for individual compartment stands including harvest schedules, priority schedules,
reforestation needs, and noncommercial improvement projects. 10% - Manage ARCVIEW/RAVE/GIS database
while incorporating GPS use. Change existing electronic data and map files to reflect current conditions. 10% Assist forest staff with timber sale administration including scaling and contract enforcement.
