ENGL 2400 American Literature I (currently ENGL 2400 is American Literature since 1865) (Page 2) This course will be numbered as ENGL 2100 since the number 2400 has already been assigned to a course. This course was approved to move forward to the Curriculum & General Education meeting on October 13, 2014. B. Course Updates 1. ENGL 2450 American Literature II (formerly ENGL 2400) (Page 7) This course will be numbered as 2150 to follow the numbering convention that is in place. This course was approved to move forward to the Curriculum & General Education meeting on October 13, 2014. 2. COMM 1510 Mass Communication and the Individual (Page 13) 3. JRNL 1510 Mass Communication and the Individual (Page 19) The above two courses COMM 1510 and JRNL 1510 were sent back to the division for additional revisions. The courses do not meet the C-ID yet. 4. DRAM 1510 Introduction to Theatre (Page 25) The above course update to DRAM 1510 was approved to move forward to the Curriculum & General Education meeting on October 13, 2014. B. Course Inactivations 1. AMSL 1510 Beginning Sign Language (Page 32) 2. AMSL 2001 Intermediate Sign Language The above course inactivations were approved to be voted on via email by the Curriculum & General Education committee. The Curriculum Technician will send out the email to the voting members. II. APPLIED TECHNOLOGY A. Course Inactivation 1. BSAD 1560 Introduction to Mathematical Analysis (Page 34) 2. ECON 1560 Introduction to Mathematical Analysis The above course inactivations were approved to be voted on via email by the Curriculum & General Education committee. MATH 1560 Introduction to Mathematical Analysis The above course inactivation to MATH 1560 was removed from the Tech Review agenda by the Math/Science department. G. Golling said that the department will inactivate MATH 1560 once a new Business Math course is created, and if it isn’t, the Math department may need to teach MATH 1560 again. III. ADDITION TO LOCAL GENERAL EDUCATION PATTERN A. The Catalog Work Group has suggest that the following course be added to the local general education pattern: 1. BUSN 1510 to Communication & Analytical Thinking This item will move to the Curriculum & General Education Meeting on October 13, 2014. IV. NEXT TECHNICAL REVIEW MEETING The next Technical Review Committee meeting will be Tuesday, September 30, 2014 pending proposed agenda items. V. NEXT CURRICULUM AND GENERAL EDUCATION COMMITTEE MEETING The next Curriculum and General Education Committee meeting will be Monday October 13, 2014 from 12:00-1:30pm in the Cougar Room. 2|Page
