Trilithic, Wireless Matrix Partner to service Cable Industry
GPS Meets Leakage Detection in Integrated Workforce Optimization Products
Indianapolis, Indiana ((Dec. 09, 2008) — Trilithic, Inc, announced today that it is partnering with
Wireless Matrix Corporation (TSX: WRX), to offer integrated GPS fleet management and Radio
Frequency (RF) leakage detection products for the cable television industry.
The partnership integrates Wireless Matrix’s FleetOutlook vehicle
tracking solution with Trilithic’s Seeker series of leakage detection
devices, utilized by cable companies to detect RF signal leakage from
the cable plant.
“The addition of integrated GPS to leak detection capability provides a strong benefit to cable
technicians,” said Jim Harris, VP of Marketing at Trilithic. “The added level of functionality allows
fleet operations data to be easily shared, opening the door to increased productivity without
added complexity.”
Through the partnership, cable service providers will be able to track their mobile assets,
coordinate technicians and monitor RF leakage repair status using an integrated platform of tools.
This will provide a platform for reducing operating costs and increasing work efficiency. The
integration is already at work for cable companies such as Time Warner Cable that are served by
Wireless Matrix and Trilithic.
“This alliance with Trilithic places another valuable tool in the hands of cable service providers,”
said J. Richard Carlson, president and CEO of Wireless Matrix. “Interoperability with other
industry-standard applications used every day by cable technicians makes FleetOutlook the best
choice for providers that want to increase profitability and achieve more with their fleet assets.”
