Press Release Trilithic’s Media Contact: Karalee Slayton Director Marketing & Communications 317 423-6604 kslayton@trilithic.com Product Release: ADIA Ingress Analysis Suite Indianapolis, Indiana (Friday June 23, 2006): Trilithic is pleased to introduce the new ADIA™ return path interference analysis application, specifically designed for convenient and efficient upstream performance history analysis over periods as long as a year. ADIA collects ingress/impulse noise data from hub and headend Trilithic Guardian II installations, building a data base for analysis to aid management decision making. The system provides the ability to see ingress outbreak persistence and severity over time, as well as recurring and long-term intermittent ingress problems on selected nodes. Suitability of specific frequencies and bands to carry services can also be determined based on the statistical likelihood of disturbances in any portion of the return band. The ADIA analysis suite provides all of the recommended tools, as specified in the NCTA Recommended Practices1 for evaluating return path performance and for tracking performance changes over time. Engineers use Trilithic’s ADIA to quickly analyze selected frequency ranges over specific time periods. • The maximum/minimum/average noise, ingress and traffic levels for all frequencies between 375 kHz and 65 MHz. • The Average Discrete Interfering Signal Probability – calculates the average probability that a node will exceed configured thresholds over a user-specified time interval. The ADISP is useful as a “Figure of Merit” test for a node’s overall performance. • Ingress Threshold Probability – plots the % unavailability vs. frequency and threshold for each frequency over a user specified time period. • Specific Frequency Discrete Interfering Signal Probability – calculates the DISP at specific frequencies as the percent of threshold violations for each of the four user thresholds for each time increment. • Specific Channel Discrete Interfering Signal Probability – similar to Specific Frequency Discrete Ingress Probability, this function allows analysis to be performed in user-selectable bandwidths ADIA graphs, "waterfall" diagrams and tabular results are useful for threat and trend recognition. Data for several nodes may be displayed simultaneously, with data for any selected node highlighted. All graphs and reports may be stored and later recalled without reloading the original compressed data.
