The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), a not-forprofit organization and primary resource for mechanical engineers,
has developed the industry standards that affect below the hook
lifting equipment. We are participating members of ASME. Because of
our expertise in designing and manufacturing of below the hook lifters,
not only do we use the standards, we help to create and refine them.
Engineering Matters
ASME B30.20, for Below-the-Hook lifters, was developed to insure
that your crane and attached lifting devices perform with the highest
degree of safety for the operator and crew. ASME BTH-1 provides
specific criteria for the design of below the hook lifters. When you
make the decision to utilize ASME B30.20 and BTH-1 compliant
lifters, you have taken a proactive position in
protecting your company and your employees.
