Policies & Instructions for Using BulldogCareers
1. New Users - Registration: You must first complete the application form and pay the required
registration fee in the Career Development Services Office – 101 Patton Hall. Upon completion of
your registration, you will receive your School Password for the BulldogCareers site. To access
BulldogCareers:




Log onto: www.myinterfase.com/aamu/student.
Click on the “Click here to Register!” link.
Complete all sections, insert your School Password, and click on the Register button.
Required (*) fields are marked with an asterisk.
Click on the Submit Profile button
NOTE: When you submit your profile, your account will be given Pending status. Once your resume
has been submitted and critiqued, you will be given Pending – Resume Revisions status until
your resume revisions have been made and your corrected resume has been uploaded and
verified by the Career Information Specialist.
2. Existing Users: Log into system using your Username and Password
Existing Users - Please update your profile every semester

Put your cursor over My Account and select My Profile

You will see sections containing Personal Information, Demographic Information, Skills, and
additional Information.

Each section will have an Edit link. Click on this link to edit fields within the section.

Carefully go through each section and complete all of the fields making sure to click on the
SAVE button. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
NOTE: CDS can assist you better when your profile is up-to-date. REMEMBER: Everything that you
see in BulldogCareers is determined by what you maintain in your profile. This means that if
you are a senior who will graduate MAY ’11 and your profile states that you are a freshman
graduating in May ’10, you won’t see the correct information nor will you be able to sign up for
the appropriate interviews/jobs that require that particular criteria.
Upload your documents
• Put your cursor over My Account and select My Documents
• Click on the Upload File link
• Click the Browse button to find your document
• Select the correct document and name it
• Click the Upload button
 Email Ms. Leslie Burks (leslie.burks@aamu.edu) to set up a resume critique appointment
 Receive your suggested corrections, update and upload your corrected resume
 Contact Ms. Burks so that she may verify and approve your corrections
NOTE: When uploading your resume, make sure your CDS APPROVED resume is labeled as your default
resume. This resume is the document that will be referred to a variety of employers. Separate
spaces have been provided for your cover letter, reference page and transcripts. Upload those
documents in their appropriate places. They should not be attached to your default resume. If
your resume is pulled with a cover letter and transcript attached, it will not be referred.
Searching for Jobs, Internships and Co-ops

Put your cursor over Jobs and select Job Listings
Fill in the search criteria to narrow down your job search OR just click the Search button
(without entering any search criteria) to view all current jobs.
Click on the Job ID to see the specifics of the position and how you should apply
THE OPTIONS BELOW ARE ONLY AVAILABLE WHEN YOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN MARKED ACTIVERESUME APPROVED. YOU WILL BE EMAILED ONCE YOUR ACCOUNT IS APPROVED.
Students who wish to participate in on-campus interview sessions MUST meet all of the following
requirements prior to signing up for an interview:
 You must be registered with Career Development Services through BulldogCareers
 You must have an APPROVED resume on file in the BulldogCareers system
 You must have attended an Interviewing Skills workshop
Searching for Interview Schedules: Qualified and Future Schedules
Sign Up For Interviews I Qualify For:
In our system, you are only able to APPLY/SIGNUP for interviews through Sign up for interviews I qualify
for. This option is only available if your resume has been marked RESUME APPROVED and if you have
attended an Interviewing Skills workshop.
 Hover your cursor over Interview Schedules and select Sign up for interviews I qualify for
• Click on the Schedule ID and read ALL of the specifics about the position and how you should
apply.
o For a Pre-select schedule, you will submit your resume to be considered for an interview.
You will only be allowed to sign up for a timeslot if the employer chooses you as a candidate.
o For an Open schedule, you will be allowed to immediately choose an open interview timeslot
providing that you meet all the employer-specified qualifications.
o For a Resume Drop schedule, you must submit your resume to the event before the deadline
date. When the deadline date arrives, all uploaded resumes will automatically be emailed to
the event’s main contact.
View All Upcoming Interviews:
In our system, you will be able to look at all current interview schedules in the system under View All
Upcoming Interview. This section is for informational purposes only.
• Put your cursor over Interview Schedules and select View All Upcoming Interviews
• Fill in the search criteria to narrow down your interview schedule search OR just click the Search
button (without entering any search criteria) to view all current interview schedules.
• Click on the Schedule ID to see the specifics of the position and interview requirements
Remember you cannot sign up for interviews under this selection. You must be able to access the Sign
Up for Interviews I Qualify For selection.
Searching for CDS-Sponsored Career Events:
• Click on the Career Events menu
• View the list of all current Career Events (Career Fairs, Information Sessions, Workforce
Preparedness Workshops, etc.)
• Click on the Career Event’s name to view event details, attending employers and to RSVP to
attend.
NOTE: Not all events accept RSVPs or allow students to search the list of employers registered for
the event.
Viewing Your BulldogCareers Activities
• Put your cursor over My Account and select My Activity
• There are 6 types of activity that you can view:
o Referrals - a referral is recorded each time your resume is sent to an employer or an

employer views your resume directly.
Placements - a placement should be recorded each time you accept a co-op, internship or
full-time position.
Schedules - all schedule activity is recorded including sign-ups for interviews.
Event Registrations - an event RSVP is recorded for an event only if you specifically
submitted an RSVP. (Credit for attending an Info Session or workshop will be given ONLY
after the event when the Sign up on the attendance sheet has been verified).
Survey Responses - records responses to any CDS surveys
Job Search Agents - Job agents will send you an e-mail when any new/updated jobs
matching this search are available. To create a Job Search Agent:
 On your menu select Job Search
 Select your qualifying search criteria then click Search
 Click the Create Job Agents option above your search results on the right.
A tab exists
in the Student Activity that allows you to View, Disable and Remove Job Agents.
• View - takes the user to a search results page with a current list of jobs that meet
their criteria.
• Disable - disables the Job Agent but does not remove it. The Job Agent will still exist
but will no longer send emails to the student. Once the Disable link has been clicked
it will change to an Enable link. The Enable link will allow the student to turn the Job
Agent back on at a later time.
• Remove - removes the Job Agent completely from the system. Once removed, the
agent will no longer exist in the system and the student will no longer receive any
emails.
