Faculty Research Grants Committee
The Faculty Research and Grants Committee of 2011-2012 convened on September the 27th, 2011 at 5:30 p.m.
Committee members present were Jo Arney, Jeff Bryan, Dorian Dorado, Futaba Fuije-Okamoto, Lisa Giddings, Karl
Kattchee, Tesia Marshik, John Ready and Greg Wegner. In addition to the Committee members, Bob Hoar and
Chandra Hawkins were also in attendance. The Committee elected Jeff Bryan to the position of chair and Lisa
Giddings to the position of secretary. Jeff discussed the level of committeemen required of committee members and a
discussion ensued as to how to evaluate applications. The committee plans to meet several nights per week in
November and December to review applications and hear presentations. Details will be forthcoming.
The Committee adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
