The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences offers degree programs in
Forestry, Environmental Science, and Plant Sciences; all of these can be combined with a Remote
Sensing GIS minor. The minor is also applicable to students from Community Planning and
Urban Studies.

Students at the undergraduate level must select a combination of courses that equals 18 credit
hours and must include NRE 365, 465, and 476. Graduate students must also complete 18 credit
hours at the graduate level with the inclusion of NRE 565, 576, 574/774, 775 and 778. The
courses identified at the 500-level series are for Master of Science students and the 700-level
series are for Doctoral Degree students.
