Scholarship Qualification Process Any student who meets the eligibility qualifications set forth by the Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc. (MHEFI) and attends a qualified institution is encouraged to apply for a scholarship. Academic programs must be qualified based upon one of the five methods below: 1. Academic institutions that have been previously qualified by MHEFI will be grandfathered in, and students from those schools are automatically eligible. 2. Academic programs that are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET) are qualified. 3. Academic programs that are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) are qualified. 4. Academic programs that are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) are qualified. 5. Academic programs that do not meet any of the four criteria above will be evaluated by the MHEFI Board of Directors to determine whether they are qualified. ABET is a non-profit and non-governmental accrediting agency for academic programs in the disciplines of applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology. ABET is a recognized accreditor in the United States by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business is a global, nonprofit membership organization of educational institutions, businesses, and other entities devoted to the advancement of management education. Established in 1916, AACSB International provides its members with a variety of products and services to assist them with the continuous improvement of their business programs and schools. ACBSP – The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs is a leading specialized accreditation association for business education supporting, celebrating, and rewarding teaching excellence. The association embraces the virtues of teaching excellence and emphasizes to students that it is essential to learn how to learn. ACBSP accredits business, accounting, and business-related programs at the associate, baccalaureate, master, and doctorate degree levels worldwide. Adopted May 17, 2015
