Transfer Student Admission Information
REGARDING YOUR LETTER
OF ADMISSION

academic record and any courses in progress this year.
Final admission is contingent upon:
a) Receipt of an official transcript that includes fall
semester grades no later than January 30, 2016.
b)Receipt of a final official transcript that includes
grades from the spring 2016 semester on file in the
Admissions Office by July 1.
c) If you are also taking summer session courses elsewhere,
we must receive an official transcript with spring grades by
July 1 and we must receive a final official transcript with
summer session grades by August 28.
d)If you have an established grade point average, it is
our expectation that you will maintain this grade point
average. If you are in your first semester of courses, it is
our expectation that you will earn at least a 2.5 grade point
average.
e) NOTE: Final transcripts will be reviewed to check grades.
Poor academic performance may result in your admission
being rescinded.
It is important for you to know that certain undergraduate
programs are highly selective and applicants must meet
additional requirements for entrance into a program. Your
letter of admission does not guarantee admission into any
program of study.

IMPORTANT NEXT STEP!
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:
To reserve your place in our transfer class, please submit
a $100 Enrollment Deposit.
n After making the $100 enrollment deposit, you can apply for on-campus housing by
going to www.uwlax.edu/ResLife/Application-Process. You will be required to submit
both a housing application and a $75 housing deposit. Campus housing is limited and
housing assignments are prioritized based on the date your $75 housing deposit AND
housing application are received. The $75 housing deposit is also refundable until May 1.
• Log into your WINGS Student Center to make your
enrollment deposit.
• Click the blue “Make a Deposit/Payment” link.
• Click “Make a Payment” from the top blue menu bar.
• Click “Enrollment Deposit” on the right side.
• Choose the appropriate term for your enrollment
deposit (for example, Enrollment Deposit Fall 2016 if
you plan to begin in the Fall 2016 semester).
• Please note: When you log in to pay your enrollment
deposit, you will see a message that states that
continuing students no longer have to pay a registration
deposit. This message does not pertain to you as a
transfer student. You are still required to pay the $100
enrollment deposit as instructed. We recommend you utilize the “e-check” payment
method to avoid any convenience fees. Your enrollment
deposit is refundable until May 1.
TRANSFER CREDIT REPORT
The following items are required to receive an official
transfer credit report:
• $100 Enrollment Deposit
• Official transcript with fall 2015 grades
• Spring 2016 courses in progress
We will notify you via email when that transfer credit
report is complete and direct you to your WINGS
Student Center where you can view your transfer credit
report.
NOTE: Criteria such as number of schools attended
and/or number of credits earned may extend time
necessary to complete your transfer credit report.
n If you have taken Advanced Placement (AP) exams or CLEP exams, please contact The
College Board at 888.225.5427 to request an official transcript be sent to our office for
an evaluation. If you have taken IB exams, please refer to the International Baccalaureate
website at www.ibo.org to request an official transcript. You can review our credit by
exam policy at www.uwlax.edu/admissions/html/creditbyexam.htm.

nIf you plan to apply for financial aid, the FAFSA application is available online at www.
fafsa.ed.gov. You will need your completed Federal Income Tax information in order

meet with an Admissions Office staff member for advising, rather with an academic
advisor from the college you are assigned (see your admission letter if you are unsure).
If you wish to contact an advisor before April, please refer to the following www.uwlax.
edu/Admissions/Admitted-transfer-student-next-steps/. Click on the “Advising &
